“Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”– Ralph Waldo Emerson

Host Organization: Foundation for AIDS Rights (FAR)

I am currently studying at Thammasat University in the faculty of International Affairs. Being part of the Saphan Siang Youth Ambassadors program, I hope to understand various issues facing the migrant workers. Both the general public and the government have been treating this population as second class citizens with a negative attitude towards them—the perception has been embedded in the Thai society.

This program allows me to have direct experiences working on migrant worker issues and understand their problems. To this end, I would like to share positives stories of migrant works to a wider public with the goal of changing their attitude and behaviour towards migrant workers. Being part of this program, I hope to be able to learn about human rights and gain important skills from participating in fieldwork and others.
